Works in the drinking water sector in Africa
For the past 40 years, VERGNET HYDRO has been conducting works in the drinking water sector in Africa. From the construction of the superstructure to the commissioning of the operating site. From small scale projects to industrial scale works.
Manual water pumps or Human Powered Pumps (HPP):
- Layout and implementation of the borehole (geophysical study, photo-interpretation,…)
- Construction of superstructures (coping stones)
- Pump installation (interpretation of test pumpings)
- Acceptance of works
Autonomous Water Stations (AWS) :
- Establishment and execution of the borehole (geophysical study, photo-interpretation,…) or
- Rehabilitation of an existing borehole (extraction of existing pump, cleaning of the borehole,…)
- Design and sizing of the PEA, sourcing of equipment
- Construction of the AEP (pump, energy source, storage, distribution points)
- Commissioning and acceptance of works
Drinking Water Supply (DWSS) :
- Identification of the resource
- Construction of the pumping station
- Construction of the treatment plant (sizing, civil works)
- Construction of the networks (topographic survey, excavations, laying of the network, construction of collective and private distribution points…)
- Construction of the storage facility (layout, geotechnical studies, foundations, elevation, etc.)
- Installation of electromechanical equipment (pumping, treatment, etc.)
- Installation of monitoring equipment
- Construction of operating buildings
- Commissioning and operation/maintenance training
