Côte d’Ivoire: Saher is installing a complete water system at Abidjan’s new port terminal, TERRA-2
SAHER, a major player in setting up a variety of systems, as much in urban areas as rural ones
SAHER (Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire), a subsidiary of VERGNET HYDRO, is installing a complete water system (drinking water supply, or DWS, fire protection, rainwater, wastewater and dry utilities systems) at TERRA-2, the new Ro-Ro terminal at the Port of Abidjan (Abidjan Ro-Ro Terminal). Sub-contracted by NGE CONTRACTING (France), SAHER is also installing pumping and wastewater storage and treatment systems. “This project once again confirms that SAHER not only sets standards in terms of village water supplies in Côte d’Ivoire, but is also a major player in setting up a variety of systems, as much in urban areas as rural ones,” commented SAHER’s Director, Nadim CHARARA.
In under 10 months, SAHER will install almost 10 kilometres of pipes, two drainage systems, two mini wastewater treatment plants and three oil interceptors on this sandy platform covering 6.5 hectares, working around the arrivals and departures of ships.
