Côte d’Ivoire : Supplying domestic water for the 500-strong workforce at the Singrobo-Ahouaty dam construction site and industrial water for its concrete plant
Another opportunity to demonstrate that VERGNET HYDRO is more than capable of meeting the requirements of a major industrial group in terms of lead times, quality and timing
VERGNET HYDRO has provided and recently fitted the equipment required to (1) supply domestic (drinking) water to the 500-strong workforce involved in the construction of the Singrobo-Ahouaty hydropower plant at Bandama River, Côte d’Ivoire, a project headed by local consortium IVOIRE HYDRO ENERGY (IHE), and to (2) supply the concrete mixing plant with industrial water. The construction project, expected to last 34 months, has been awarded to EIFFAGE. “We are very excited about our role in such a vast project. It is another opportunity to demonstrate that our teams are more than capable of meeting the requirements of a major industrial group in terms of lead times, quality and timing,” stressed Etienne DECHERF, Chief Sales and Operations Officer at VERGNET HYDRO.
The contract covers three water supply systems connected to the site’s generators. The pumping systems have capacities of 25 m3, 80 m3 and 110 m3 per day and will supply the VERGNET HYDRO RSR tanks of 25 m3 (site facilities), 80 m3 (workers’ camp) and 110 m3 (technical facility). The technical facility also has a 110 m3 reserve tank. The installations include chlorination systems, pressure boosters and back-up pumps. “The equipment was commissioned and installed by Saher, Vergnet Hydro’s Ivorian subsidiary,” explained Baptiste GADENNE, Area Sales Manager at VERGNET HYDRO.
