Drinking water supply system in Burkina Faso
Drinking water supply system works by Vergnet Hydro
From September 2014 to February 2015 Vergnet Hydro was awarded the construction of 7 drinking water supply systems and the rehabilitation of 3 other systems in the villages of Bourzanga, Mané, Tougouri, Rouko, Dablo, Pensa, Bouroum, Nasseré, Ziga and Nagbingou. Drinking water is produced by 5 pumping stations equipped with standalone power generators, 4 solar stations and a station connected to the national grid.
These drinking water supply systems are equipped with a chlorine treatment disinfection system. The village of Mané is equipped with an arsenic treatment station.
This programme was financed by Agence Française de Développement and Burkina government on behalf of the Regional Agricultural, Hydraulic resource, Sewage and Food safety Agency for the Central and Northern areas.
