Burkina Faso: Vergnet Hydro manual pumps in local press
On April 1st 2016, on the launch of the presidential emergency program on water and sanitation, we had the pleasure to see the Vergnet Hydro manual pumps illustrating an article of the online newspaper Lefaso.net.
The goal of the program is to mark the government’s commitment in making the access to drinking water and sanitation a reality in Burkina Faso.
The 1st Vergnet Hydro manual pump was installed in the country in 1980. Today, more than 10.000 of these pumps are present all over the country.
In Burkina Faso, Vergnet Hydro also supplied 10 drinking water supply systems to the North Central region.
The Project for Drinking Water and Sanitation in rural areas enabled the creation of 360 boreholes equipped with manual pumps in Cascades, Centre West, Centre South and Sahel Regions.
