The author, Gérard Usseil is part of a group of adventurous friends, initially inspired by the dream of following the route through Africa of René Caillié, explorer and author of “A trip to Timbuktu”. Due to degraded security situation which prohibits any arrival to Timbuktu, they decide to go to the Dogon country where they set up one of our pumps.

Gérard Usseil has the great idea to tell the story of his journey during summer 2010 in the form of comic strips gathering more than 450 watercolours.

We really appreciate this original travel diary and particularly the watercolours about our pumps.
